Carmen Renee Berry, MSW, is a best-selling author whose books include When Helping You is Hurting Me, Girlfriends, and Daddies and Daughters. Berry is also a nationally-noted speaker, stress management consultant, certified massage therapist, and former psychotherapist. A prolific writer, Carmen has authored/coauthored 19 books and numerous journal and magazine articles, including Girlfriends, which spent fifty-two weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. She has appeared on hundreds of television and radio shows including Oprah, Montel, Sally Jesse Rafael, CNN, and local news outlets. Carmen lives in Southern California with a young daughter adopted from Nepal in 2006, with her mother, and with her housemate.
